The ballots for the election of the mayor of the capital and the mayor of Balti will be purple and will be printed on opaque paper. The decision was taken at the September 20 meeting of the Central Election Commission, which also established the ballot templates for the local and snap parliamentary elections, IPN reports.
Thus, according to CEC decision, all ballots will be printed on opaque paper and will be distinguished by colour. The ballot for the election of the mayor of the village (the commune), the city (of the municipality) will be pink, for the election of the mayor of Balti municipality and of the general mayor of Chisinau - purple, for the election of councillors in the village (commune), city (municipal) councils. - smoky grey, for the election of the councillors in the district councils (municipalities Balti and Chisinau) - beige.
Each ballot paper will be divided into quadrilaterals according to the number of candidates. On the left side of each quadrilateral, the symbol of the electoral competitor will be printed, in the center the name and surname of the candidate, the name of the party, the social-political movement, the electoral bloc or the inscription "independent candidate" will be inscribed. On the right side, at the same distance from the top and bottom sides, a circle will be printed, in which the voter will apply the stamp with "Voted" inscription.
The electoral competitors will be registered in the ballot with capital letters of the same size, the same characters, in the order resulting from the constituency electoral councils’ drawing lots.
The ballots for the snap parliamentary elections will have the same characteristic features. They will have a pale brown colour.
