The cabinet of ministers approved a decision regarding badges for military service veterans. The document establishes the type and model of the badge, eligibility criteria for military service veteran status, as well as the way of issuing, withdrawing, retaining and destroying the badge.

About 4400 eligible persons for military service veteran status are registered by administrative-military regional bodies.

The cost of manufacturing a veteran's military service card is about 35 lei. The total cost of implementation of the decision will amount to 160,000 lei.
