Azpetrol International Holdings continue its investments in Moldova
Despite substantial damages inflicted on Azpetrol International Holdings B.V. (AIH) following the illegal expropriation of two of its key subsidiaries in Azerbaijan, AIH plans to continue its investments in Moldova, according to a report of the company „Azpetrol” of Chisinau.
„ Obviously the events in Azerbaijan have been a major setback and may lead to some delays in the short-term. However, these events will not prevent us from continuing our investments in Moldova. We here to stay for the long-term.” stated Thomas Moser, First Vice President of Azpetrol International Holdings B.V.
Construction of petroleum terminal in Giurgiulesti, made by the Azerbaijan Company "Azpetrol", will be finished in May and not in March, as it was stipulated previously. According to general manager of the Terminal Zakir Ibrahimov the schedule of construction works was changed because of frosts registered in January.
Ibrahimov mentioned previously that so far, within the project there were made soil settlement works and construction of access ways and administrative offices of the objective, as well anti-corrosion works of tankers. Pumping petroleum-engineering systems will be until the objective is open.
Until now there were invested 18 million dollars for building the terminal of Giugulesti.
