The size of the average monthly salary in the economy forecast for 2024 increases by 2,000 lei - from 11,700 to 13,700 lei. A decision to this effect was approved by the Cabinet, IPN reports.
The projected average monthly salary in the economy is used to establish the ceiling of the calculation base of social allowances and to also determine damages in case of deviations from the law.
It is adjusted annually in accordance with the main forecasted macroeconomic indicators.
