Average monthly salary in national economy went up 23% in Q1
In January-June 2007, the average salary of a person employed in the economy of Moldova constituted MDL 1926 and increased by 23% from the similar period last year (the real salary has increased by 11%). In the state-paid field, the average salary constituted MDL 1605, in the real sector – MDL 2097.
In agriculture, hunting economy and forestry the salary constituted MDL 911 (+30.7%); fish breeding – MDL 1146 (+8.6%); in industry – MDL 2366 (+22.6%); mining industry – MDL 2746 (+25.2%); processing industry – MDL 2168 (+21.7%); food industry – MDL 2146 (+22.7%); industry of beverages – MDL 1748 )+19.3%); energy – MDL 3298 (+24.5%); in constructions – MDL 2758 (+32.4%); in retail and wholesale trade – MDL 1837 (_37.4%); hotel industry – MDL 1659 (+27.3%), transport – MDL 2831 (+18.7%); financial activities – MDL 4163 (+13.3%); real estate transactions – MDL 2351 (+29.8%); public administration – MDL 2341 (+32.2%).
In education, the average monthly salary amounted to MDL 1365 in the first six months of 2007, by 5.7% more than in the similar period last year. The average salary of a person employed in the medical and social assistance field was MDL 1550, by 22.4% more.
The average salary of an employee in June 2007 constituted MDL 2221, by 22% more against June 2006. In the state-paid field the average salary constituted MDL 2192, in the real field – MDL 2236.
