Avenue Stefan cel Mare of the capital might have 3 lightening regimes
The main street of the capital of Moldova could be lighted in the night in three regimes – usual, for weekend and holidays, and decoratively. This right after president Vladimir Vioronin gave orders in this sense to the interim mayor of Chisinau, Vasile Ursu, who, at his turn, required to municipal responsible persons to estimate the necessary cost for implementation of the project.
The head of the municipal lightening enterprise Lumteh, Nicolae Veresco, said that the main street of the capital has to be lightened more than other streets, but this thing need great investments.
Veresco noted that it was necessary to change the concrete pillars with cast iron ones, to pass the cable under the ground and to purchase many lightening bodies. Estimative calculations, made by him, show that implementation of two types of lightening, without decorative one, and without changing the pillars and passing the cable under the ground, will need 3,5 million lei.
At the moment, there are over 600 streets and around 34,000 lightening bodies in the capital.
