Authorities announce an increase of the average salary in economy
Statisticians announce an increase by 26% of the average wage in the first trimester of 2006, without making public the value of the minimum consumption basket for this period.
According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the average wage constituted 1478.8 lei, increasing by 26% comparing to the similar period of the last year and the real wage increased by 13%.
In the budgetary area, the average wage constituted 1230.9 lei, in the real sector of the economy 1616.3 lei. In this period, the lowest wage was received by the agricultural area employers, 665 lei, by 23% more comparing to the similar period of the last year and the biggest – in the financial-related area – 3526 lei (+7%).
The average wage in transports and communications constituted 2314 lei, by 23% more compared to the same period of 2005, in constructions – 1904 lei (+21%), in the estate transactions 1746 lei (+14%), in health and social assistance area – 1201 lei (+31%) and in the education area – 1156 lei (+40).
The average wage in April 2006 was of 1565.8 lei, by 22% more comparing to 2005. In the budgetary area, the average wage constituted 1254.6 lei, in the real sector -1731.4 lei.
Solicited by Info-Prim Neo sources from NBS declared that the value of the minimum consumption basket will be calculated only after a month. In the last year, this indicator constituted 766 lei, increasing by 12.7% comparing to 2004.
