The doctors and teachers from Chisinau will receive financial assistance from the municipality to pay the mortgage rates of interest, IPN reports.

The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) will contribute financial assistance equal to a mortgage rate of 10%, but not higher than 60% of the price of the apartment.

Head of the Financial Management Division Eugenia Ciumac said that under a CMC decision of October 10, 2013, such concessions were granted only to institutions and entities financed from the local budget, but employees of the central public institutions made approaches, arguing they also contribute to the formation of the local budget by paying taxes, as the employees of the institutions managed by the CMC, and enjoy the same constitutional right to be provided with homes, including to receive financial assistance to purchase homes or to pay the mortgage rates.
