Artur Ionita continues to show a great performance in the championship of Switzerland. The Moldovan footballer scored the victory goal for his team Aarau in a match against Lugano of the 28th stage of the second league, IPN reports.

The game ended with a 3-2 scoreline. Aarau won the fifth consecutive victory and holds a lead of three points over Bellinzona. Only the first-ranked team enters the upper echelon.

This season, Artus Ionita scored six goals for Aarau, one of which in Switzerland’s Cup. His good performance made Moldova manager Ion Caras to summon Artur to take part in all the matches played by the national football squad this year.

The Moldovan halfback started to play in Switzerland in 2009, at the age of 19.
