The problems faced by the National Army were discussed Wednesday in the first meeting this year of the parliamentary commission on national security, defense and public order, which was attended by officials of the Ministry of Defense, Info-Prim Neo reports. The commission’s chairman Alexandru Stoianoglo told a news conference that it is important to analyze the present situation so as to determine the financial resources needed to solve the existing problems. Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta said there were discussed problems concerning the provision of the military men with dwellings and the social assistance offered to them as well as the strategies for developing the National Army, the necessity of adopting the National Security Strategy and of drafting the National Military Strategy. The next meeting of the commission will involve representatives of the Security and Information Service.
