Arcadie Barbarosie: PDM bears main blame for restart of protests

The protests were restarted because the people disagree with the method in which the Cabinet was chosen, Arcadie Barbarosie, director of the Institute for Public Policy, said in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.

“The people are angry because a man of Plahotniuc was named as Prime Minister. They are dissatisfied with the way the parliamentary alliance was formed and with the corruption of MPs. If we ask the people, they will say that the parliamentary coalition was formed by corruption and blackmail,” stated Barbarosie.

The Institute for Public Policy’s director considers the Filip Government was voted in with violations of the legislation. “The government program and the composition of the Cabinet had to be discussed in the sitting of Parliament. Regretfully, our politicians follow not the law, but notions that they think are almost laws. I don’t think the people who voted for the Party of Communists wanted the Communist MPs to vote together with the Liberals or vice versa. It is about legitimacy,” he said.

Arcadie Barbarosie believes that when such a crisis exists, holding early elections is a solution.
