Individuals and legal entities, including diaspora members and foreign citizens, can make online appointments for requesting archival documents, thanks to an online application system freshly launched by the National Archives Agency, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and the Electronic Government Agency.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Justice, in addition to appointments for requesting archival documents, the platform also allows those interested to book visits to the National Archives’ learning room for research purposes.
The platform can be accessed from the institution’s main page www.arhiva.gov.md, under the Online Scheduling section. The service is free, with appointments available starting October 2. All slots until October have been filled via the old system or by phone.
In the second stage of modernizing the public services provided by the National Archives Agency, applicants will be able to submit actual requests online as well.
