Applicants of the journalism faculty passed excellently the creation test

Over 200 young people passed, on Monday, July 17, the creation test in order to be admitted at the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication Studies (FJSC) of the State University of Moldova (USM). This is the single faculty where the matriculation is done in two stages, including, besides the applicants’ mean, a creation test. According to the chairman of the Examination Commission, Dumitru Turcanu, head of the Journalism department, the creation test included two subjects – writing a news story, and preparing five questions and answers as well on the proposed topic. Those 213 candidates, including 159 for Romanian groups, have competed for 95 seats for the journalism course, 43 – mass communication sciences and 49 seats – editing activity. According to the Examination Commission, composed of FJSC professors, the test was passed brilliantly by all of the applicants. The final decision regarding the matriculation results to USM Journalism Faculty will be made public on July 20.
