The National Anticorruption Center, the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, the Internal Security Division of the Customs Service, the Border Police and representatives of the National Anticorruption Division and the General Anticorruption Division of the Romanian Home Ministry have performed a complex operation at the Leuseni-Albita customs post this morning, October 22, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Center.

During several months, the joint investigation group consisting of officers of the mentioned institutions examined a number of corruption acts involving functionaries of the Customs Service and the Border Police.

Synchronized investigative actions are now being carried out at both of the border crossing points.

A number of National Patrolling Inspectorate teams are redirecting the large trucks going to the customs post along the Chisinau – Leuseni road.
