Another attempt to secure the endorsement of the Gagauz People’s Assembly for the Executive Committee proposed by the new governor Yevgeniya Gutsul failed today.
The members of the Gagauz parliament couldn’t agree on the structure of the Executive Committee and didn’t event get to discuss the proposed candidates. The governor’s proposal to approve the Committee’s structure was rejected by 13 deputies, while six abstained. At the last meeting.
The governor of Gagauzia has the right to dissolve the People’s if the Executive Committee is not approved within 45 days from the proposal of its composition.
