Andrei Veselovski: Transnistria settlement is one of Ukraine’s foreign policy priorities
The settlement of the Transnistrian conflict is one of the three basic foreign policy priorities of Ukraine, Andrei Veselovski, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Representative for Transnistria settlement, stated at a meeting with Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin.
Veselovski reiterated Ukraine’s position that the Transnistrian conflict must be settled on the basis of Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, Info-Prim Neo learned from the presidential press service.
The Deputy Foreign Minister underlined the importance ascribed by the Ukrainian authorities to the initiatives of the Moldovan President concerning the confidence-building measures between Chisinau and Tiraspol, reiterating Ukraine’s intention to provide the necessary assistance in implementing concrete projects in this regard.
