Andrei Donică, candidate of the Professionals’ Movement "Speranța Nadejda", will not be on the ballot for the election of the mayor of Chisinau municipality. The electoral council of the Chisinau municipal constituency took note of his withdrawal from the electoral race on October 8.

Asked by IPN, the secretary of the Electoral Council, Igor Moraru, said that Andrei Donică had withdrawn from the mayor electoral race, but remained on the list of councilors from "Speranța Nadejda" Movement.

The other candidate who announced his withdrawal, Boris Volosatîi, proposed by Democracy at Home Party, did not submit an official request in this regard to the Electoral Council.

The last day on which the candidates could withdraw from the race was October 12.
