Moldova has won one more medal at the European Under-23 Wrestling Championships that are held in Hungary’s Szombathely. Anastasia Nikita won silver in the 60 kg class, IPN reports.
The student of the National Sports Boarding School scored three victories before reaching the final, winning against athletes from Belarus, Turkey and Bulgaria. In the final, Nikita lost to Russia’s Liubov Ovcharova.
Moldovan wrestler Tatiana Doncila (55 kg) was defeated in the first played game and was thus eliminated from the competition. Moldova’s Iulia Leorda (53 kg) enters the competition today, March 31.
