Fiodor Ghelici, leader of “Moldova Mea” Public Association, sent president Igor Dodon an invitation to participate in a public debate, organized in front of the citizens. The activist claims that based on the replies of the head of state the undecided voters will be able to make a decision on the vote they will express in the local elections on October 20.
At an IPN press conference, Fiodor Ghelici said that people were disappointed that politicians did not fulfil their electoral promises. They no longer know for whom to vote or generally do not want to vote.
Fiodor Ghelici also said that "in the country no one perceives the president separately from the Socialist Party, because holding this position, the head of state created electoral staff". "Today he is using state resources - the car, the fuel - campaigning and urging people in villages to vote for the Socialist Party. It is inadmissible”, declared Fiodor Ghelici.
In these circumstances, says the activist, he is the one to come in front of people and answer questions. "We decided to invite the president to public debates, wherever he sees fit. There will be two participants in the debates - Ghelici, "Moldova Mea" Association head, former chair of the Commission for public control next to the president, and President Igor Nicolaevici Dodon", specified the activist. He says he has submitted a request in this regard to the Presidency.
The activist read out the questions to be addressed to the head of state. Mostly they refer to the promises made in 2016 presidential election campaign, when Igor Dodon obtained the presidential mandate.
