The parliamentary faction Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) stated that the declaration of the Russian Federation Duma against the wine producers from Moldova is the result of the recent visit of the Moldavian MPs to Moscow. According to a press communiqué of the AMN faction, the parliamentary delegation did not present the official results of the visit while the delegation was formed without consulting the parliamentary factions. The same communiqué says AMN condemns any tentative to give a political colour to the foreign commercial-economic relationships and also using them as pressure instruments. Moldavian wines have a high quality, a well-known fact on international level and confirmed by the specialized laboratories, including Russian laboratories. AMN faction considers the main issue that affects the economic and social activity of the country is the incompetence and the irresponsibility of the communist government. The communiqué is released as a response to the “misinterpretation by some of the communists’ allies” of leaving on Saturday, April 20 the plenary sitting of the Parliament. The Parliament approved on Friday, April 21 a response declaration that contains concern about the Russian Duma’s declaration upon the wine crisis. MPs from Chisinau consider it is necessary to halt the tentative of some Russian political force to label to the situation a political subtext. The parliamentary delegation that visited Moscow the last week was composed of Eugenia Ostapciuc the head of the PCRM parliamentary faction, Vladimir Turcan, the head of the Committee for Legal Issues, Appointments and Immunities, Vladimir Turcanu, Vasile Iov, vice-president of the Committee for Foreign Policy and European Integration, the MPs Arcadii Pasecinic and Mihail Sidorov, all of them representing PCRM faction and also the democrat MP, Vladimir Filat and the Christian-democrat, Ion Varta.
