The experts who will draft the proposal concerning the constitutional referendum to simplify the procedure for electing the head of state will come together for a meeting after representatives of the member parties of the AEI express their viewpoints on how things should be organized, Liberal MP Victor Popa has told Info-Prim Neo. The parliamentary groups of the AEI will delegate by two experts to wok on the commission that will formulate the proposal. The Liberal Party will be represented by Victor Popa and Valeriu Munteanu, while the Democratic Party by Alexandru Stoianoglo and Raisa Apolschii. The head of the Liberal-Democratic group Valeriu Strelet said his party has not yet designated its representatives, but will do it soon. The experts are to work out the method of amending Article 78 of the Constitution so that the President could be elected. The leaders of the AEI said the plebiscite will take place not later than April.
