Ambulances pick up homeless persons from street

A woman was sleeping near a grocery store on Zelinski St in Chisinau. She may have frozen to death until morning if passersby hadn't called an ambulance, Info-Prim Neo reports. A heavily inebriated homeless man was taken to the Emergency Hospital with hypothermia, Chisinau Ambulance Service managing doctor Anatol Proca has said. A 70-year-old man fell down in a bus when the vehicle braked. He suffered a dislocation of the shoulder and will have it in plaster for at least a month. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau ambulance teams had dealt with 653 emergencies, including 93 cases of acute viral infection, 71 cases of trauma, six strokes, and a heart attack.
