Moldova's European Union accession negotiations can be completed in 2030, Poland’s Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova Tomasz Kobzdej stated in the program "Freedom Territory” on RLIVE TV, IPN reports.
The Polish diplomat noted that the year 2030 set by the Moldovan administration as an objective is a feasible goal and is "an average duration of the negotiation process". "This sounds very realistic to those who remember the negotiation process in my own country," said Tomasz Kobzdej.
The official also said that Moldova's size is a positive feature because "the smaller the country, the easier it integrates” and there are many small countries in the European Union.
The negotiations on Moldova's accession to the European Union were opened in June 2024.
