All the bus stations in Moldova will be modernised and included in a unique system of management
All the bus stations in Moldova are to be modernised, repaired and included in a unique system of management, so that each citizen would have the possibility to buy a ticket for travelling in any direction. The statement belongs to Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev, made at a meeting on creation of a modern and functional system for transporting passengers.
Premier requested to carry out a full technical inspection of buses, high-level qualification of drivers, “so that the treatment of passengers would meet international requirements”. Tarlev has also ordered to perform an analysis as concerns the prices for the services of transporting goods and passengers, and frame certain proposals to redress the situation in the field.
Prime Minister thinks that one of the problems the transportation of passengers faces is the use of clandestine transport networks. “We must ensure a transparent activity by putting in commission attractive routes and eliminate this negative phenomenon”, said Tarlev.
The Ministry of Transports and Road Administration in concert with the persons in charge have received the indication to present ample information about the state of affairs in the field and an action plan for solving the above-mentioned problems. The Ministry will contribute to the opening of the bus stations in all the raion centres in Moldova.
