Education Minister Dan Perciun assures that all teachers will receive their salaries for December. The dignitary's promise comes in reaction to statements by the capital's mayor, Ion Ceban, who accused the government of transferring to the city hall only 36 out of 200 million lei for teachers' salaries and bonuses, IPN reports.

"All salary obligations to employees in the education system will be respected. The next Government meeting will approve the rectification of the state budget, which provides for the allocation of additional financial resources for all local public authorities", the Education Minister specified.

Dan Perciun recalled that the budget rectification procedure is standard every year and confirmed that the Chisinau municipality will receive 39 million lei, sufficient resources to honor the financial obligations to teachers by the end of this year.

To confirm this, the general mayor of the capital, Ion Ceban, has published the documents indicating the five-fold decrease in payments for Chisinau teachers.
