The Ministry of Internal Affairs spotted several cases when the candidates placed electoral posters in prohibited places, but not a single case is related to the ruling party, Mihai Cibotaru, the head of the Public Order Police Department told the Central Election Commission. Cibotaru said that the infringements refer to the Democrat Party, which was given charge-sheets, and the court decided to impose fines worth MDL 200. MIA says that the Conservative Party placed unauthorised posters in Ciocana District and Vadul lui Voda town. In two cases the court already made decisions, and in two cases the decision is to be made soon. Such infringements were also traced in the municipality of Balti. MIA says it does not have yet information on the situation in villages. When asked by the CEC members if the police officers found such infringements in the case of the Party of Communists, Cibotaru said that no infringements were registered. “It is not possible to keep an eye on every pillar in Chisinau”, he added. The local public administration established special places for the electoral posters in the municipality of Chisinau. 13 such places were established in Botanica District, 8 – in Rascani, 15 – in Ciocana. Depending of the settlements included in the municipality of Chisinau, each of them has 2-6 special places for the electoral posters.
