Judoka Alexandru Tîrsînă won the Senior European Cup in Montenegro’s Podgorica in the 60kg weight class, IPN reports.

Tîrsînă defeated Serbia’s Ivan Ledjanski, Montenegro’s Edvin Civovic, Ksawery Ignasiak of Poland and Vincenzo Manferlotti of Italy.

In the 73kg weight class, Vlad Mitru won a bronze medal after beating Serbia’s Bogdan Velickovic.

In the women's competition, Daniela Tcaci (6 kg) ranked 5th after scoring two victories.

At the Junior European Cup held in Portugal’s Portimao, Vladimir Iacomi won silver in the 60kg class. He won against Italy’s Francesco Menghini and Mario Tinelli and against Anderson Vasquez of Spain, but in the final was beaten by Spain’s Unai Merino.



In the 73kg class, Renat Croitoru ranked 5th after losing to Kazakhstan’s Omar Nurbergenov in the small final.
