The Democratic Party of Moldova will not vote for the dismissal of the Government led by Ion Chicu, including for the reason that the parliamentary opposition does not have a plan concerning the subsequent actions, MP and secretary general of the Democratic Party Alexandru Jizdan stated in a public debate entitled “Snap parliamentary elections and/or replacement of Government: probability, risks, benefits” that was organized by IPN News Agency.

“My question is, what do we have instead? This is the question we put to ourselves daily. Could you one day explain the complete plan to us, not only the removal of the Chicu Government? What would we do with this country further? We, 100 MPs, play the politics game here, in central Chisinau, while the people in the republic ask us what will we do further with the country?” stated Alexandru Jizdan.

According to the Democratic MP, the contradictions between the parties of the right are too big and the discussions about the eventual solutions with the party of which he forms part are held only on social networking sites.

“It is much easier to remove a Government than to form another one. We are bothered by the antagonism that exists on the right. The MPs talk to us only through social networking sites. None of the political leaders came to 32 Tighina St (PDM’s head office) to talk to us. You use only social networking sites. You probably overestimate your capacities. We should all return to the start”.

To avoid a political crisis, Alexandru Jizdan said the current Government should continue work even if it made particular mistakes in its activity.
