Building a favorable environment for businesses could stop the exodus of the population and stimulate the workforce from the diaspora to return. The Party of Socialists’ candidate for the position of President Alexandr Stoianoglo said that the Moldovan entrepreneurs maintain the economy functional despite the pressure exerted by the authorities and the hostile economic conditions, IPN reports.
In a press briefing, the candidate said that along with maintaining a favorable business climate, the Moldovan businesses need incentives and concessions. In his opinion, among the most important changes that the businesspeople need is the elimination of the artificial restrictions on the movement of financial means.
Alexandr Stoianoglo believes that it is necessary to implement exclusive concessions and incentives for business development in rural areas, especially in the agricultural sector. Long-term incentives for financial and fiscal support for investments should also be applied.
“Provision of support and concessions for founding industrial enterprises, implementation of programs to support businesses, focused on the production of goods that replace imports, offering of tax incentives for investments in sectors with high added value and innovative technologies,” noted the candidate.
According to him, the entrepreneurs ask for dialogue and of a favorable business environment, which would exclude any pressure or intervention from the inspection and law enforcement bodies so as to ensure stability and transparency in economic relations. “I assure you that this objective can be achieved in a record timeframe, ensuring the irreversible character of the changes. As President, I will make use of all the functional duties stipulated by the Constitution to ensure their implementation,” said the PSRM’s candidate.
