Radu Albot failed to qualify for the final of the Challenger tournament held in Pune, India. In the semifinals, he was beaten by the host’s favorite Prajnesh Gunneswaran, World No. 110, IPN reports.
Albot clearly dominated the start of the game, winning the first set 6-1. But the Indian player won the next two sets by 6-4.
Owing to his performance at the tournament in India, Radu Albot climbed four more spots in the ATP rankings. The Moldovan tennis player will finish 2018 among the top 100 tennis players of the world.
