Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot failed to qualify for the main competition of the ATP tournament St. Petersburg Open. The 27-year-old athlete didn’t manage to score two victories in the qualifying competition, IPN reports.
Initially, Albot beat Russia’s Alexandr Kudryavtsev 7-5, 7-5, but lost the decisive match to the UK’s Liam Broady, world No. 242. The winner was decided in the tiebreak, 1-6, 6-2, 6-7.
Before the tournament in Russia, Radu Albot competed in the US Open, where he for the first time qualified for the third round of the competition.
