“Albinuța” kindergarten in Slobozia to be renovated with Japan’s support

The kindergarten “Albinuța” in Slobozia village of Ștefan Voda district will be repaired with the assistance of Japan. The contract for the provision of US$64,800 in assistance by the Government of Japan within the Kusanone Program was signed by Ambassador of Japan in Chisinau Yamada Yoichiro and acting mayor of Slobozia Svetlana Zavalisca, IPN reports.

According to the Embassy of Japan, the project will contribute to creating optimal conditions for the educational process, for the protection of health and security of children, teaching staff and ancillary personnel of “Albinuța” kindergarten. The project will benefit 125 children, 25 educators and auxiliary personnel members.

Japan’s Ambassador Yamada Yoichiro said: “Until the current children become adults, Moldova will have definitely joined the European Union. How nice it is when the children live with great national expectations”.

The Grant Assistance of the Grassroots Human Security Projects or Kusanone Program was launched in Moldova in 2008. To date, Japan has provided $7 million in grant funding for 84 projects in the fields of education, healthcare and public utilities.
