Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco commented on the case of the businesswoman who died in a beauty salon during plastic surgery. In the “Shadow Cabinet” program on Jurnal TV, the official stressed that the salon was not authorized to perform complex surgeries, IPN reports.
The minister noted that there is no need to put pressure on the Forensic Medicine Center because there is a deadline by which the examinations must be carried out and they cannot be rushed.
"It goes to histological examinations that show everything that happened in cells in each organ. In this case, it must be determined whether or not there was anesthetic in the blood," said Ala Nemerenco.
According to her, the surgery performed in such conditions is similar to an operation performed in a basement.
"For such a serious operation, do you go to a hairdresser’s? Every person, when they decide to do something, must inquire who manages this center. Do they offer legal services? Was it registered or not? When one uses illegal services, how can the state prevent such cases?", asked Ala Nemerenco.
The minister described the tragedy in the beauty salon as a crime and said that the Prosecutor's Office is investigating the case.
On January 30, businesswoman Liubovi Babitski died in a beauty salon in Chisinau when undergoing plastic surgery. The owner of the salon, Irina Borodkina, was put on the wanted list, while anesthesiologist Ecaterina Maniuc was remanded in custody.
