An electoral meeting with 500 local elected officials was held in Horești village of Ialoveni district head of Romania’s elections. Adrian Dupu, a candidate for senator in the Romanian Parliament on behalf of the National Liberal Party for the diaspora, had a large meeting with Moldovan district heads and mayors. More than 500 local elected officials were assured by the Romanian politician that if he becomes a senator, he will continue the projects aimed at the mayor’s offices of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
Adrian Dupu promised that he will make sure that every citizen of the Republic of Moldova sees and feels the help that Romania offers unconditionally. The candidate also announced Nicolae Ciucă’s and the National Liberal Party’s plans regarding the Bessarabians.
“I was glad to see district heads and mayors from Ialoveni, Nisporeni, Călărași, Hîncești, Strășeni, Anenii Noi and the suburban settlements of Chisinau next to us. Together with my colleagues from the leadership of the PNL Republic of Moldova, Anatolie Dimitriu, Alexandru Barbăroșie, Victoria Butuc-Guranda and Ion Alexa, I presented the priorities of chairman Nicolae Ciucă and the PNL for the Republic of Moldova and for Romanians abroad,” Dupu posted on social media after the meeting with local elected officials from Moldova.
Adrian Dupu is a candidate for senator on behalf of the National Liberal Party for the diaspora. The politician tops the PNL’s list for the constituency from outside Romania's borders.
Parliamentary elections will be held in Romania between November 30 and December 1. The citizens of the Republic of Moldova who hold Romanian passports will be able to exercise their right to vote at the 59 polling stations established on the territory of our country, of which 17 in the north, 34 in the center and 8 in the south of Moldova.
