“I voted for a city in which we will be respected, in which there will be plurality of opinions, development. I voted for a team that knows to do this,” the candidate for mayor of Chisinau of the Party of Socialists Adrian Albu said after leaving the polling place.

“I voted for our generation that is growing, for those seniors of whom we should take care. I voted to be sure that Chisinau can and will become better if we become involved and act together with smiles, with love for each other,” stated the contender.

Twenty-seven candidates are contending for the mayoralty of Chisinau. Polls close at 9 p.m.
