Judoka Adil Osmanov ranked fifth at the European Youth Olympic Festival that is taking place in Hungary’s Gyor, IPN reports.

He had four victories and two defeats in the 55 kg weight class. In the match for the bronze medal, Osmanov was beaten by Russia’s Arman Gambarian. Judokas Petru Pelivan, Dan Buzica, Eugen Matveiciuc, Grigore Taban and Ilie Dorofeev are yet to compete in Gyor.

At the previous competition, judoka Ion Mihailov won gold. In Tbilisi in 2015, Moldova had the best performance in its history, ranking sixth in the medal standings with five golds and two silvers.
