Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Feign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman was designated as acting Prime Minister.  A decree to this effect was signed by President Nicolae Timofti, IPN has learned from the presidential press service.

The move is aimed at ensuring the smooth running of the public affairs until a new Government is installed.

The head of state called a meeting with the members of the outgoing Cabinet. It will take place at the State Resident on June 22, starting at 10am.
