A Citroen truck travelling on a country road to Călărași town didn’t respect the distance and crashed into a Renault Scenic car moving in front of it. The truck driver braked and skidded to the opposite direction lane where it collided with a MAN truck. It happened near Pitușca village of Călărași district.

The Citroen car was driven by a 47 year-old man from Fălești district, while the MAN truck by a man aged 34. A police team and an ambulance travelled to the scene. The drivers suffered insignificant bodily injuries.

Cristina Vicol, press officer of the Călărași Police Inspectorate, has told IPN that the police are investigating the circumstances of the road accident. The driver to blame will be penalized according to the law.
