SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” (ACC) assures its customers that the water supplied in the municipality of Chisinau meets the quality standards and is monitored continuously, starting with the collection and treatment process and ending with the determination of pipe properties. The clarification comes in the wake of media reports about the quality of water in the country, IPN reports.
In a press release, the public utility says it devotes maximum attention to monitoring and maintaining the quality of drinking water, these being its main objectives. Representatives of the Quality, Control and Regulation Department monitor and analyze the physical-chemical and bacteriological indicators of water.
Thorough the agency of the lab of the Nistru water station in Vadul lui Voda town and the drinking water lab of Chisinau municipality, the quality of drinking water is tested daily before being pumped to the municipal distribution network. Over 25 physical-chemical and bacteriological parameters are analyzed daily. The quality of water in the public water supply system is determined monthly.
The supplier reminds the consumers that to obtain information about the quality of water, they can anytime go to the company or can see the results of the physical-chemical and bacteriological examinations that are published quarterly on www.acc.md, in the Quality division.
