Socialist MP Bogdan Țîrdea said the Republic of Moldova manages to maintain normal relations with the European Union and NATO, but the situation concerning the relations with the Russian Federation is more difficult. He noted that no progress is made in strengthening the status of the Russian language and in amending the law on the combating of Russian propaganda.
Words about unity in the absence of unity
The new parliamentary elections in Hâncești constituency are not captivating for political parties, especially for those of the right. PPPDA MP Vasile Năstase said there is yet time to hold negotiations and identify a common candidate for the elections in Hâncești. “I think such negotiations can be held after the eligible candidates are registered during the next two weeks and a compromise can be reached. I believe there is enough time for staging an efficient campaign,” he noted.
New-Vasiuki moves to Bălți
The leader of the Political Party “Our Party” Renato Usatyi said that he recently visited London where he met with several detectives who will investigate the bank fraud. He was assured by the British detectives that the money would be recovered. In another development, he expressed his confidence that he now has so many supporters in the Republic of Moldova that incumbent President Igor Dodon does not have chances of winning a new term in office.

The pace of economic growth in 2020 will decline compared with 2019, from 4.5-5% to 3.5-4% in 2020. Most of the sectors will witness slow growth paces, with the slowdown in the building sector being the most evident one, stated “Expert-Grup”. “If the government reduces the budget deficit from the planned 3% to about 1.5%, which we consider more sustainable, the economic dynamics will not be negatively affected and the sustainability of the public finance system will be thus ensured,” said the director of “Expert-Grup”.
