A number of public services will be available online, Deputy Premier

The citizens will benefit from a number of online public services and these will increase interaction with the authorities and will minimize contact with functionaries. “The digitization of public services impedes the development of corruption,” Iurie Țurcanu, Deputy Prime Minister for Digitization, stated in the program “Reflection Points” on Vocea Basarabiei radio station, IPN reports.

“The digitization of public services comes to support the public administration in the interaction with the citizens. If the public administration is as it is, not necessarily the most efficient one, by digitization we will optimize particular things. A series of measures should be taken and should be fully implemented so that we feel high-quality changes,” said the official.

According to Iurie Țurcanu, the process of digitization is at its incipient stage. “There are over 130 cases where we already have digital services and the number of these has increased. Our goal is to digitize all the services so as to make them accessible from everywhere. We have all the chances to become a digitized country with accessible services from everywhere, not only for the Moldovans from the country, but also for those from the diaspora, in a year and a half or two,” he stated.

He noted that a Governmental Delivery Service was recently launched. Another mission of the online services is to remove the bureaucratic barriers from the path of investors.
