A series of flights to and from Germany were canceled. The Chisinau International Airport said that air traffic is paralyzed due to a 24-hour strike, IPN reports.

Among the affected airports are Frankfurt and Munich (the major hubs), Stuttgart, Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Bremen, Hamburg, Berlin.

Passengers are advised to check the flight status on  the airport's online schedule and to also contact the airline for further details.

"A number of flights to Frankfurt have already been canceled. Please check with the airline in a timely manner for the available options," said the airport’s administration.
