On November 15, 2024, in Chișinău (Cybercor), the "Promoting Integrity and Transparency for a Modern Justice Sector" project will be launched, an initiative by the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), supported by the Government of Sweden.
This ambitious project marks the beginning of a new era in reforming the justice system of the Republic of Moldova.
The event will bring together prominent figures from public and international institutions, including the Minister of Justice, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, the Ambassador of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Katarina Fried, and IDLO Director-General Jan Beagle.
These leaders aim to highlight the importance of a shared commitment to eradicating corruption, increasing transparency, and ensuring equal access to justice for all citizens.
Transforming the Justice System
This project outlines concrete measures to support the Ministry of Justice, the Union of Authorized Administrators, the National Integrity Authority, the National Institute of Justice, and the National Anti-Corruption Center, alongside civil society organizations.
The objectives include:
- Reducing corruption through stricter anti-corruption measures.
- Enhancing transparency in all judicial processes.
- Digitalizing the sector to facilitate access and efficiency.
The "Promoting Integrity and Transparency for a Modern Justice Sector" project represents an important step in modernizing Moldova's justice sector, strengthening the rule of law, and contributing to the country's democratic development.
