A drone was found in a field near the village of Salcia, in Taraclia district. After initial examinations, it was determined that no explosives were attached to it, IPN reports.

There are no risks or threats to the safety of residents in the region. On-site investigations are ongoing, according to the General Police Inspectorate.

In recent months, drones or parts of them have been found in the districts of Causeni, Criuleni, Rascani, and the municipality of Chisinau. In December, a projectile attached to a drone was identified near the village of Podgoreni, Orhei.

The police urge citizens who come across drones or other suspicious devices on the ground not to approach them but to immediately call the emergency number 112.
