The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) is the team that showed by deeds that many good things can be done in Moldova. The Professionals Movement “Speranţa-Nadejda” is a team that no longer believes in political parties and runs in elections with the slogan “Stop-genocide” as the state offers less than the minimum subsistence level to the pensioners, invalids and children. The National Unity Party (PUN) in 30 years of the declaring of Moldova’s independence comes not with promises, but with a proposal for a better life in a civilized, respected state – as part of Greater Romania. Representatives of the three entities presented the electoral platforms in IPN’s eighth electoral debate of the series “Analyzing Electoral Supply and Demand-2021”.
The Democratic Party’s candidate for MP Alexandru Cauia said the citizens on July 11 should vote “the three roses” as the PDM is the political team that since 2016 until 2019 proved that Moldova has sufficient financial resources and the salaries and pensions could be raised and there were implemented such projects as Good Roads and First House and also infrastructure projects from which the citizens benefitted and will yet benefit, regardless of the election outcome. “The team led by Mister Filip, 170 mayors, hundreds of local councilors, is the team that proved by deeds that it deserves being voted on July 11,” stated Alexandru Cauia.
The candidate noted that the PDM, which has over 20 years’ experience, needs support to build “a different Moldova” that is the party’s country plan for the next four years. The wellbeing of each citizen remains the party’s key priority. “The pandemic made us to place the healthcare at the forefront even if this sector hadn’t been neglected earlier either. We consider the growth pace of doctors’ pays should be maintained as they were and remain heroes in white gowns who showed that the political color in times of a pandemic does not matter. Education is another important sector in which we managed to raise salaries by over 50%,” said Alexandru Cauia, noting that security, infrastructure, youth and the foreign policy segment with the European integration option are among other important areas on which the PDM has focused.
The leader of the Professionals Movement “Speranţa-Nadejda” Andrei Donică said he is a graduate of the Public Administration Academy and he actively became involved in the most important sector of the county – agriculture - as a scientific researcher. When he was 27, he became a doctor of science. Since 2018, he has led the sociopolitical movement Professionals Movement “Speranţa-Nadejda, whose goal is to enter Parliament to stop the genocide.
Andrei Donică explained that the only goal of the movement is to stop the genocide as another method of killing people was found in the 21st century - the economic one. The National Bureau of Statistics says that a pensioner can survive on a minimum of over 2,000 lei, while the state gives them slightly over 1,000 lei as it realizes that the pensioners economize on medicines and food. Hundreds of thousands of pensioners, invalids pass away slowly. They also plead for paying fixed allowances to children, as the children of diplomats get until they turn 18. As from 2013, if they are students, they get allowances until they turn 23 if they are not married. “This is discrimination as our children need minimum substance of about 2,000 lei. Besides, we intend to take over 100,000 applications to the ECHR to sue the Government of the Republic of Moldova so as to guarantee decent living for pensioners, invalids and children,” stated Andrei Donică.
PUN candidate Alexei Paluță said their party led by Octavian Țîcu runs under the slogan “A reunified and prosperous country as part of Greater Romania”. “The citizens know well the changes that occurred in 1991 – 2021, which showed that the Republic of Moldova cannot exist as an independent state. The declaring of statehood was just the first step towards the union with the homeland, Romania. In time, the statehood was taken to another direction. The Republic of Moldova proved at social and economic levels that the daily problems faced by the citizens, experienced in each home can be solved only as part of Great Romania,” stated the candidate.
Asked by Andrei Donică if the union is the only solution for developing the state, Alexei Paluță responded that there were many ideas in time, but the problems, including the genocide to which the Professionals Movement “Speranţa-Nadejda” makes reference, cannot be stopped as the Republic of Moldova as an independent state is just a corruption factory. After 30 years of existence, the Republic of Moldova is a failed state. When asked by the Democrat Party’s candidate what the unionists did wrong that the union hasn’t been possible yet, Alexei Paluță made reference to the Flower Bridge and the assistance offered by Romania during the past 30 years without which the Republic of Moldova would have looked deplorably. “All the parties include decent people and also opportunists,” he stated.
In the July 11 snap parliamentary elections, the Democratic Party of Moldova will be under No. 8 on the ballot, the National Unity Party under No. 10 while the Professionals Movement “Speranţa-Nadejda” under No. 7
