A delegation goes to Italy to examine solid waste processing projects
A delegation of the municipal authorities will visit Milan, Italy, from April 19 to April 20, in order to examine the projects implemented by one of the three contesters for building up a waste processing plant in Chisinau municipality.
The delegation consists of three municipal councillors – representatives of the communist faction Victor Odobescu and Valerii Pavlov and the independent representative Mihai Severovan – escorted by the head of the Sanitation Administration Tudor Maniv, the deputy chief of the communal department Alexandru Ftomovici. The delegation also includes the president of the territorial Organization of the Ecologist Movement, Vladimir Garaba.
Afterwards the city authorities will visit for Romania the same reason.
The tender committee for the plant’s constructions decided in March to select three of those six enterprises that requested the construction of the plant.
Vladimir Garaba declared previously for Info-Prim Neo that he personally rejected all the offers presented to the tender committee because he considers all participants presented waste burning technologies projects, fact that violates Moldova’s and European Union law stipulations. Burning is being considered a pollutant factor.
Info-Prim Neo reminds that all the participants propose from 28 to 720 million euro investitions that will be recuperated during its activity. The investor that wins will be obliged to work together with the local system of sanitation and transportation of wastages. The plant will be built around the waste transportation station near the roadway Chisinau-Bubuieci.
