Residents of the capital are encouraged to join the Christmas Caravan campaign by making gifts for needy families. The gifts will be collected from December 3-20 at the Botanica district of the capital's Botanica prefecture, 10 Teilor Street, and then distributed to the families, IPN reports.

School school supplies, personal hygiene products, wrapped toys, as well as food, sweets and other similar products are welcome.

"We welcome you with open arms to contribute to this action of solidarity, and together we can bring more light and hope into the lives of those who are going through difficult times," reads a message distributed by the Chisinau City Hall.
