An undeclared sum of almost €9,000 was confiscated at the Chisinau International Airport, IPN reports.

The Border Police said that during a passenger baggage check, the border police, together with customs officers, found €19,460 that wasn’t declared to the customs authority in the baggage of a 29 year-old-passenger of the Chisinau-Warsaw flight.

The sum of US$8,920 that exceeds the €10,000 limit permitted for being taken out of the country without being declared was confiscated. The man faces also a fine.
