A number of 5,427 ballots are being printed for postal voting that will be piloted on October 20 in six states. Of these, by 1,809 ballots are intended for three electoral exercises - two rounds of presidential election and constitutional referendum, IPN reports.
“The ballots for the first round of voting are gray, for the second round – blue, and for the referendum they are purple. The number is 1,809 ballots for each separate ballot. The price of a ballot paper is 2.7 lei, and the total cost is about 14,600 lei,” CEC secretary Dana Munteanu said in the printing launch event at the Central Printing House.
To vote by post, voters could register by September 6. A total of 1,809 voters registered by that date. “For electors who vote by post, the ballots for the second round of voting will come together with those for the first round and the referendum. The mention “Second Round” will be made in that ballot paper and it will have another color, blue. All candidates who contend in the first round of voting will be written there as this is the only possibility, given the necessary to ensure the speed of procedures and provide those voters with ballots,” stated the CEC secretary.
