As much as 53 million lei is needed to be invested in a section of the water pumping station in the Chisinau municipality in order to get rid of the stink, the ad-interim mayor general, Vasile Ursu, has recently said. According to Ursu, overall investments of about 106 million lei are needed for the water pumping station. The local authorities schedule meetings with eventual investors in order to identify financing for reconstruction works. Also, the mayor said that a feasibility report for reconstruction of the water filtering station in the municipality is being worked out and a tender for selection of an entrepreneur for reconstruction works will be organised soon. Ursu noted that the government has promised to support the local authorities to select a company which will build a solid waste processing plant in the municipality. The tender commission has selected three out of six applicant entrepreneurs.
